Birmingham Stationery (“we”, “us”, “our”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people, how we use it, and how we keep it secure. By using our website, contacting us or working with us you’re agreeing to be bound by this policy.

 

Your Data

When you purchase something from this website or create a customer account, we collect personal information from you to fulfil the order. We may collect information like your:

  • billing and shipping address

  • details relating to your purchase

  • email address and/or phone number

We share this information with Shopify, our online hosting provider so that they can provide website services to us.
If we request your phone number, this may be used by the courier we used (depending on your order), or we may use it if we are making a bespoke order for you to discuss details.

We will never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

 

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes as well as enforce our agreements. We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we need to transfer information about you outside of the EU, we rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud and Microsoft Cloud are Privacy Shield certified.

 

Emails

We ask for your email address so that we can send you an email confirming your order and so that we may send you additional marketing information and promotions through emails. If you currently receive our marketing emails and no longer wish to receive them, you can click the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any of our emails. Alternatively, you may email us at hello@birminghamstationery.com and opt-out. We share your contact information with Squarespace, our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf.

 

We may email you with messages about your order or account activity. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

  • You have created a Customer Account

  • Your Customer Account password has been reset or updated

  • You’ve made a purchase

  • Your order has shipped

It is not possible to unsubscribe from these messages.

You’ll receive an automated email within 24 hours after you abandon your shopping cart if all of the following occur:

  1. You enter your email address at checkout or are logged into your Customer Account.

  2. You add a product that is in stock to your shopping cart.

  3. You close your browser or leave this website without completing your purchase.

You can unsubscribe from these messages at the bottom of the email.
The email will link back to this website, where you can pick up where you left off and complete your purchase.
